BrentwoodBelter are proud to be opening the main stage on Saturday 19th July 2014 in what promises to be another successful Brentwood Festival.  Lots of stuff for everyone here, music, food & drink and that special atmosphere that only an outdoor event can provide. Get there!

New Belter!

With the sad news that Keyboard player and founder member James has left the band to pursue his thriving business venture, we can announce that Maarten Speekenbrink has joined us on keys and synth.

In rehearsals right now bedding everything in. Looking forward to unleashing him live soon!

On Lead Guitar…………..

Belter are pleased to announce a new addition to the band.  Debuting for half the set at “The Good Ship” in Kilburn on Saturday 15th February, Matthew certainly adds another dimension to the solid Belter sound.  Great to have him with us, come and cheer him on at the next show! The Band

More Guitars Please!

Belting The Netherlands

The band had a brilliant time in Holland (see a video log here: http://youtu.be/xkvL0x64_cc)

Following the long journey from home through the Chunnel (none of us forgot our passports this time but someone DID forget to renew theirs…) we arrived in Amsterdam in just enough time to set down and set out to the Pakhuis Wilhelmina which is situated canal-side and have a few recuperative drinks in the setting sun before watching some excellent acts. Ensor, Avery Plains, Maggie Brown & Those Attic Sounds were all magnificent and the lighting/sound was superb.  Great gig to be sandwiched in between those bands!

After a brief stop to play a few acoustic numbers at a garden party, the band drove below sea level to the lovely town of Groningen where we played at the city’s oldest pub “Kroeg Van Klass”. Our set(s) comprised of 30+ Belter originals – every song we know (and a couple we didn’t).  Finishing around 2am, the enthusiastic crowd wanted more so we obliged with a reprise of “The Invisible Cat” which included a fine display of pool table top dancing by Rob!

Good to know that we will be back in Europe next May with three excellent dates already sorted.

Back To Belting….

Well, the band have had a couple of months on the back burner while a certain member has been procreating but behind the scenes we have been working on future plans including a minor tour of The Netherlands to take place mid June – More details soon.

Before that, there is a chance to catch us at The Brentwood Centre in Essex on Saturday 27th of April as part of a great evening sponsored by Phoenix FM radio & The Brentwood Festival.  Tickets are £6 and it all kicks off at 7.30pm.
